V:. Ill:. Bro. Afeef Lazarus 33°

The current Inspector General for this District is V:. Ill:. Bro. Afeef Lazarus 33° who was installed on July 4, 2009 in succession to V:. Ill:. Bro Maj. Gen. Rudolph Green, CD, OER, 33° who served in that capacity for some 25 years. V:. Ill:. Bro Lazarus is the third Inspector General for this District, the first being V:. Ill:. Bro George Finson 33° who was appointed in 1980.

This District now consists of nine Chapters, eight of which work in Jamaica while one works in the Cayman Islands.

The A&AR is comprised of 33 degrees, the 18th of which is denominated the Rose Croix. Its teachings seek to enhance the lessons of the Craft from a Trinitarian Christian perspective. Consequently, all candidates must sign a Declaration professing belief in the Trinitarian Christian Faith. It is also a requirement that a candidate shall be a subscribing member of a Craft Lodge under the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) and a Master Mason for at least one full year. There are other requirements that must be satisfied by candidates who are not subscribing members of Lodges under the UGLE.
